Using a VPN can hide your actual IP address and protect your privacy by encrypting data transmissions, but it doesn’t completely eliminate the possibility of cyberstalking.
First, the VPN service provider you use may log your online activity. Although they will often claim not to log your browsing history, they may be compelled to reveal your information if they are subject to a legal order or subpoena.
Second, some websites and applications use browser fingerprinting to track your online activity. Even if you use a VPN, these sites can still collect other information about your computer and browser and combine it with data from other sources to uniquely identify you.
Finally, there can be issues like DNS leaks and WebRTC leaks when using a VPN connection, exposing your real IP address to the public network and thus being tracked.
So, while a VPN can enhance your privacy and security, it doesn’t completely eliminate the possibility of being tracked online.
